Teeth bleaching kits

A teeth bleaching kit is an over the counter kit used for at-home teeth whitening. Included in the kit are a mouthpiece tray and a tube of whitening gel. Teeth bleaching kit is ideal for people who are busy and are always on the go. It is very cheap and easy to use. It works by putting whitening gel on the mouthpiece tray and placing it in the mouth for about half an hour every treatment. The treatment should be done for at least two to three weeks for good results although whitening is visible after a few days.

The whitening gel that is included in the teeth bleaching kit contains an active ingredient called hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is the chemical that removes stains from the teeth. The whitening gel included in the teeth bleaching kit contains minimal hydrogen peroxide compared to the whitening gel that dentists use. Regardless of what whitening gel is used, it will not work on false teeth, dentures, jackets and crowns. They will only work on natural teeth.

When placing bleaching gel to a mouthpiece tray, it is best to put a very thin deposit of whitening gel on the inside part of the tray, which is the part that contacts the teeth. When the tray is placed inside the mouth, the whitening gel will be distributed evenly to the teeth. It could take several applications to know the right quantity of gel needed for the bleaching tray. Just make sure that the whitening gel only touches the teeth and not the gums.

There are two types of teeth bleaching trays - customized and standard. Customized teeth bleaching trays are a lot comfortable because they are made to perfectly fit a dental patient’s mouth. This type of tray is much similar to a teeth guard. Customized bleaching trays are made from very soft materials that firmly cover the entire teeth when whitening gel is applied. It is effective in preventing the chemical from reaching the gums. Whitening gels contain hydrogen peroxide that can cause damage to the gums such as gum ulcers.
